Have you guys tried making the HTML changes in the text doc itself—the original? Using some find replace you can encase all paragraphs in p tags and single-returns appended with br /, then copy paste straight into the HTML box. That’s the only thing that ever works for me.

Yep, that’s what I did last night, and with the first interview, too! Hence what I said in Private Communication about “a bit of cunning find-and-replace.” e.g.: finding all the bolded “PT”s and replacing them with <p><b>PT</b> and letting Tumblr itself close the <p> tag, as opposed to just bolding all instances of “PT,” which bolds the “pt” in shit like “tempt” and “kept.”
And the <br> still amends to <br />. (And the <b> to <STRONG>, which makes an excellent Homestuck joke, if a poorly-placed one.)
